ROOSTER x-ING  |  EPK

Rooster Xing is a world-groove party band built to move people.

Led by Florida-based musician and songwriter Trevor Bystrom, Rooster Xing brings together a powerhouse arrangement of musicians who craft a sound that is a colorful collision of African and Caribbean-inspired rhythms, electric guitar, deep bass, powerful vocal chants, and melodic saxophone and flute.

Drawing inspiration from decades of musical traditions across Africa, the Caribbean, and the Americas, Rooster Xing creates a sound that feels both familiar and completely its own — global music with a Florida soul and a serious groove.

Trevor Bystrom has spent years performing throughout Florida and beyond, playing thousands of shows and hundreds of festivals and developing a musical language shaped by his lifelong fascination with world music. Rooster Xing is the full expression of that exploration: a flexible ensemble designed for festivals, outdoor concerts, cultural events, and dance parties.
